The Farmer’s Route
4. – Bloemendalsestraat 61
This site used to be an urban farm, with an entrance hall, a residential area, and a back part of the house. From the street, you can still see the milk cellar and the upstairs room. The back is now a restaurant, where the traces of the urban farm are still clear thanks to the tie-beam trusses. The presence of this type of construction, which was often used in the 17th century, is evidence that a flourishing farm once stood here.
