3. – Damsel with a bag
In the quay wall, on the right, there is the third water spout called ‘Juffer met tasje’ (Damsel with a bag). This image relates to the piece of land on which the synagogue is located which is called ‘juffersgat’ after the Drakenburg sisters (Sophia and Emerantia) who used to own the land.
